Day 40 – Perkins Cove

3 Aug

wpid-20140803_190541.jpgAfter another glorious day at the beach, we ventured out to Perkins Cove. We decided to take the trolly, mostly because they looked so quaint. All of the trollys owned and operated by the Ogunquit Trolly Co. have ‘olly’ names. We saw Lolly, Polly, Molly, Dolly and Wolly. After Jolly let us off in Perkins Cove, we spent a couple of hours shopping, enjoying art galleries and watching the ships come into the cove. They were too tall to go under the footbridge, so it had to be opened. I love draw bridges.

We took the Marginal Way back to Shore Street. The photo is a wpid-20140803_195311.jpgview of Perkins Cove from the Marinal Way. We had a late dinner on the porch of a nice little Italian restaurant. Then, came back to the inn to enjoy our dessert on the second floor porch. I’m going to miss this place!
